UFC Vegas 105 Odds Going Against Josh Emmett

Ahead of his previous fight – against Bryce Mitchell – Josh Emmett was seen as a +225 underdog. But he surprised the bookies straight away with a spectacular KO in the first round.

Fast-forward to April 5, and he’s the underdog again. This time, his UFC Vegas 105 odds are +220. The reason why oddsmakers don’t have much faith in him is that he’s already 40. But that doesn’t seem to be much of a problem for him.

He’s 19-4 overall with one of those losses happening against Yair Rodriguez in the fight for the UFC Featherweight crown. After that defeat, he lost to Ilia Topuria in a fight that won the Fight of the Night bonus.

He got back on the winning track with a win over Mitchell and is hoping to do something similar in his next fight. If he wins by a spectacular KO once again, we wouldn’t be surprised to see Dana White giving him a shot at the title in the near future.

Will Lerone Murphy Stay Undefeated?

Lerone Murphy has 15 wins in his portfolio, along with one draw that happened on his UFC debut. He’s got no losses, which many think is because he’s yet to fight an elite opponent.

However, to be fair to the guy, he did face a couple of high-profile rivals, most notably, Dan Ige and Edson Barboza. He beat both of them by unanimous decision.

In both of those fights, his kickboxing prowess came to light. Against Barboza, for example, we saw him land 220 significant strikes in 25 minutes, while getting hit 79 times.

The fight with Ige was a much closer battle, with Murphy even getting knocked down once. But the fact that he got back up and managed to win in the end shows that he’s tough as nails.

Josh Emmett vs. Lerone Murphy Prediction

We’re almost certain this fight will not finish quickly. In fact, we predict it will last until the final bell. But who will win in the end? While Murphy is almost certain to land more strikes than his opponent, we think Emmet will cause more damage, which should make the judges score in his favor.
